After a strange show announcement in Los Angeles for a band that no one has really heard of before called I Don’t Know How But They Found Me, team Don’t Bore Us went digging. And it appears that former vocalist for The Brobecks (and current Panic! at the Disco bassist) Dallon Weekes has a new musical project, alongside Ryan Seaman (formerly of Falling In Reverse).

Now, Dallon vehemently denies the existence of the band whenever questioned, or feigns complete ignorance. But we have reason to believe this is all a conspiracy, and are here to present you with what we KNOW (which is frankly not a heck of a lot):

1. I Don’t Know How But They Found Me performed at Emo Nite in December 2016

I Don’t Know How But They Found Me performed at Emo Nite in Los Angeles, alongside The All-American Rejects and Underoath on December 6, 2016. The above photo was taken during their set, and fairly obviously features both Dallon and Ryan. The full lineup for Emo Nite (including IDKHBTFM) can be seen below:

2. I Don’t Know How But They Found Me performed at Sassafras in Hollywood in January 2017

I Don’t Know How But They Found Me played Dressed to Kill, an event held at Sassafras in Hollywood on January 6, 2017. The above photo was taken post-set, and the gig flyer can be seen below:

3. Ryan Seaman’s twitter bio

I mean??? It literally says it right there???

4. Dallon has been cagey about writing new music

Yes, ok. But for who then? Our money is on I Don’t Know How But They Found Me.

5. Ryan Seaman has left Falling In Reverse

We aren’t going to pretend to know the reason why, but in leaving his full time gig drumming for Falling In Reverse, Ryan now has the time to dedicate to a new musical project. To a new band, even. He joined Icon For Hire on the road for a moment, but that’s wrapped up now. Which brings us to:

6. I Don’t Know How But They Found Me is playing The Viper Room in Los Angeles next month

And tickets are available from HERE.

Whatever is going on, we are very keen. If it sounds anything like The Brobecks and involves gratuitous glitter makeup on Dallon (and Ryan?!) count us the heck in.
