This is not a drill. Don Broco have confirmed that their new album is already complete, and is being prepared for release. Frontman of the band Rob Damiani recently caught up with our pals over at Rock Sound on their podcast, and has spilled that new music is definitely coming this year.
“We’re pretty much finished recording now – we finished just before hitting Reading And Leeds, so now it’s just the final mixes and getting a track-listing together. We recorded a few extra songs too, so we just need to piece it together and make it feel like a whole now. The hard work aspect is done, now it’s the annoying little bits!”
The question on all of our minds though- will we be hearing new Don Broco music this year?
“We’ve got a pretty clear idea of a few songs we really want to get out before the end of the year, mostly songs we’re just gagging to play at Ally Pally! So there’s definitely going to be a bit more music before then and it’s just up to us now to get our arses in gear and get the videos and everything done.”
But when, pray tell, can we expect the new album to drop? When asked if it’s going to be 2018, Rob confirmed “Yeah, I think it’s looking that way. We don’t have an official date yet, but it’s looking like an early 2018 release. But if it’s ready before then – we’ll be like, ‘Let’s go!’.”
The sooner the better, as far as we’re concerned.
