In case you missed the very exciting news, Gerard Way and his buddy Worm (AKA Big Wormy, AKA touring security for My Chemical Romance) are hosting their 2nd annual charity stream event this week. Last year Gerard and Worm raised over $30k for The American Cancer Society playing a series of games on twitch for 24 hours.

This year the stream is split up in to two 12 hour sections from 9am-9pm on the 12th and 13th of August (for our Australian friends, that’s 2am-2pm on the 13th and 14th of August). This year they’re raising money for Free Arts which is a Los Angeles-based charity whose mission is to use art to restore hope, resiliency, and self-esteem in children in Los Angeles ages 5-18 who have experienced abuse, neglect, poverty and homelessness.

Read all the info from Gerard’s website below:

“It’s that time of year again! Worm and I would like to cordially invite you to join us on August 12th and 13th 9am-9pm PST for our 2nd annual charity stream. This year donations go to http://freearts.org/. Catch all the live gaming action at twitch.tv/g33kanddestroy. I think this year we are expanding our gaming experience to include miniature games, which we are really excited about– Frostgrave is one of them.”
