Shawn Mendes has paid tribute to the 22 fans that lost their lives following Ariana Grande’s Manchester show.
Pre-show Mendes’ had Grande’s ‘One Last Time’ play with the entire arena joining in.
During his Paris performance, Mendes stopped to give the heartfelt speech:
“I want to start with the fact that I know we all stand here tonight in this arena with heavy hearts for the people who were effected by the attack, and know that we all feel so, so sorry about what happened. But I need to tell you guys how important music is. Music is the one of the very rare things in life that can bring people together in a way that words cannot describe, but we can only feel.”
Shawn is one of many celebrities who expressed sympathy for the victims of the Manchester bombing.
Ive never felt so gutted in my entire life. I can't seem to comprehend exactly what has happened. I just want to to send my love to everybody affected by this & to Ariana and the team. I can't imagine what they are going through. Concerts are events people should never be afraid to attend, they are places for love and complete happiness & i am so sorry that things took an opposite direction last night. I hope i speak for every Artist by saying that we will not stop spreading positivity and love through music no matter the situation.
Grande has postponed her Dangerous Woman Tour in wake of the tragedy.
