At this point, we’re only a number of hours away from the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards going down in California. This of course means that we’re only a number of hours away from finding out which of our favourite artists got the love and respect that they so rightfully deserve with these awards.

Obviously there are some pretty big names up for awards this year, with acts like Bruno Mars, Kendrick Lamar, Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, Lorde, and The Weeknd all in the running to receive the coveted Artist Of The Year award.

Of course, our attention is pointed a little more towards the Best Rock award, with acts such as Fall Out Boy, and Twenty One Pilots all in the running for the award.

However, Spotify have decided to go and ruin the fun by posting a list of what they believe to be the full list of winners for this year’s awards, determined by the use of statistics and science. Looking at the listening habits, and social media posts of thousands of users, the platform has formulated a list of what they believe to be this year’s winners.

The worst part of these predictions though, is the fact that Spotify doesn’t reckon Fall Out Boy’s ‘Young And Menace’ is in with a chance, and will instead go to Twenty One Pilots for ‘Heavydirtysoul’. Sure, we’re happy for Twenty One Pilots, and it’s greatly deserved, but we’d definitely love to see Fall Out Boy get more of that recognition that should be coming their way.

Check out Fall Out Boy’s ‘Young And Menace’, and the full list of predicted winners, below.
