A cover of Simon and Garfunkel‘s classic Bridge Over Troubled Water has been recorded by a handful of Britain’s biggest artists, to raise money for the victims of the tragic Grenfell Tower fire. Simon Cowell has managed to pulled together some of the biggest names in pop to participate, including One Direction lads Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne, alongside Stormzy, James Arthur, Jessie J and so many more.
Watch the video below:
Simon Cowell was moved to lead the project, as he lives around the corner from where the Grenfell Tower fire occurred, and witnessed the extent of the tragedy first-hand. He said of the song choice “It is a great song to send out a message of support and once we decided on that, we had to get the artists.”
It has also been revealed that Simon Cowell has also donated £100,000 to the fundraiser, supporting the families of those affected by the tragedy. Donations can be made HERE.
