Twenty One Pilots have kicked off their run of hometown shows on Tour de Columbus with their first show at The Basement. For those not up to speed, Tour de Columbus is a micro-tour of the bands’ hometown of Columbus, Ohio- revisiting the venues they used to play in before they exploded in to being an arena band.

The first show of the three-date tour happened tonight, at The Basement- a 300 capacity venue the band last played in 2012.

Please advise if you took these photos so we can credit you.

The setlist featured a whole heckload of fan favourites (you can check out the setlist, and Spotify playlist of the setlist below). Here are some notable moments from the show:

  • The medley, which included fan favourites ForestAddict With a Pen, Kitchen Sink and Fall Away
  • The ceiling was so low that Josh Dun couldn’t do his classic backflip off Tyler Joseph‘s piano in Holding On To You
  • Due to the tiny room size, low ceiling and small number of fans in the venue, Josh didn’t take his drum out on top of the crowd during Ride
  • Tyler said “You know, I lost a battle of the bands in this venue. But tonight I think we have it in the bag.”
  • Josh and Tyler brought back their drumming duel on stage during Guns for Hands
  • Tyler ending the set with “We’ve given you everything we have. This is it.”
